Oliver Crane, 19, becomes the youngest person to row solo across the Atlantic
 

Now the American can’t wait to get back to his “training ground” – Brixham harbour in Devon. 
Oliver, who lives near New York, came to Devon last August to buy his 23ft custom-built rowing boat and to train. 
His boat has solar panels that power a desalinator (for water), a VHF radio and navigational systems. 
Brixham Marina manager Andrew Millar said he was happy to offer Oliver a free berth while he put the boat through its paces.  
He described him as “remarkable and inspiring”. 
From Devon, Oliver went to the starting line off the Canary Islands.
