Older dogs getting desperate for new, loving homes



Staff at Dogs Trust Loughborough are hoping National Grandparents Day on Sunday will prove every dog really does have its day.
There are three older pooches who have become long-term residents at the rescue centre – nine-year-olds Kai and Shanook and 10-year-old Diesel.
Staffordshire bull terrier Diesel found himself homeless after his owners moved abroad.
Kai, also a Staffy, was handed over to the centre in January after he and another dog in the family fell out with each other.
