Oasis snubbed Trainspotting soundtrack over rail geeks gaffe



NOEL Gallagher missed out on featuring on the soundtrack for Trainspotting because he thought the film was about railway buffs.

Director Danny Boyle was desperate for Noel and his band Oasis to do a song for the 1996 movie starring Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle and Ewen Bremner. The soundtrack of the film became a huge hit and featured fellow Britpop bands Blur and Pulp as well as US music legends Iggy Pop and Lou Reed.
However, the Mancunian singer-songwriter turned down the chance to feature in the film.
