OAPs left for "four months without a shower" at scandal-hit home



Several pensioners at a failing care home may have gone more than four months without a shower, inspectors revealed.
Woolton Manor in Allerton is still putting people in its care at “serious risk”, despite being ordered to improve last year, according to the Care Qualirt Commission.
Inspectors found encrusted faeces on a commode and areas of the home were “unsafe and unclean” during their latest visit.
The latest CQC report said the home’s charts showed some people received a bath, shower or bed bath just once a month.
