Nursery to shine light on its young charges
Preston’s newest day nursery has opened the city’s first purpose-built sensory room.
The facility, at Bluebells Private Day Nursery in Longsands Lane, Fulwood, features
state-of-the-art sensory equipment which allows children to experience, moving colours and shapes, bubble tubes, sparkling lights and even a fibre optic carpet.
The room, also boasting a large glowing ball pool, has been specially designed to enhance children’s sensory skills, hand-eye co-ordination, levels of concentration, alertness and calmness.
