Nurse took own life after struggling with stress of working at Royal Stoke University Hospital

A NURSE took her own life after becoming stressed from her work at Staffordshire's biggest hospital.
Ann Burdett's body was recovered from a mill pond after she drowned.
An inquest heard the 51-year-old had made two previous suicide attempts and had returned from the same pond covered in mud after her most recent attempt on May 19.
She was referred to mental health services that day but just a week later she was pulled from the water at Bishops Offley, near Eccleshall, on May 26.
