Nurofen maker Reckitt Benckiser benefits from weaker pound but reins in sales outlook



Reckitt Benckiser has benefited from the weaker pound but losses in Korea and no growth in Europe and the US saw the global consumer goods giant lowering its full-year sales expectations.
The Nurofen-to-Durex maker posted a 2 per cent increase in global like-for-like sales, excluding currency fluctuations. This is lower than the 2.8 per cent growth previously expected and well below the previous quarter’s 4 per cent growth.
It said sales continued to decline in South Korea after it was revealed earlier this year that one of its chemicals used in humidifiers caused the death of 100 people.... read more
