Nottingham's Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival launches
 

Beer drinkers from across the country flooded to Nottingham for the opening of the 41st Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival today.
The event, which serves around 120,000 pints every year to the public, welcomed hundreds of ale and cider lovers to Nottingham Castle for the opening day.
This year's event, which runs until Sunday, features a world-record breaking number of beers.
Four hundred and forty breweries are represented, with 1,273 different beers - beating the festival's own record by 30 drinks.
