Nottingham hospitals take part in trainee nursing associate pilot

A group of new nursing recruits have joined Nottingham's hospitals as part of a training scheme that is being piloted across the country.
The trainee nursing associates will work on wards at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust, which manages Queen's Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital.
Around 20 trainees will take part in a two year foundation degree programme that will see them work alongside fully qualified registered nurses, helping to plan, coordinate and deliver care to patients. The trainees will also attend the University of Derby one day a week.
