Nottingham High School praises hero teacher who crashed to save cyclists
 

Nottingham High School has spoken out about its 'inspirational' music teacher who will never walk again following a serious motorbike crash.
Chris Toon, a music teacher and talented musician who plays the clarinet, saxophone and flute, made a split second decision to steer his motorbike into a ditch on the B5324 on June 11 to avoid a group of cyclists.
As he slowed down to go around a bend his back wheel slipped and he lost control, which forced his bike onto the other side of the road.
