Nottingham Forest fan with smoke bomb could have caused 'mass hysteria' at Derby game
 

A Nottingham Forest fan who tried to smuggle a smoke bomb into the game against Derby County in March has been banned from attending football matches for five years.
Carl Detheridge was told by a judge if he had managed to succeed in his plan and set the smoke bomb off he could have caused "mass hysteria" and force the ground to be evacuated.
The 34-year-old claimed he had picked up the pellet on the train between Nottingham and Derby on the day the Reds faced their arch rivals at the iPro Stadium in March.
