Nottingham Forest appoint Dougie Freedman after sacking former Man City boss Stuart Pearce
 

Pearce, a Forest legend after 12 years at the club as a player, was dismissed after showdown talks with chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi.
And Al Hasawi moved quickly to make Freedman his sixth permanent manager since taking charge of the club in 2012.
Pearce had been under growing pressure after a dismal run that brought just three wins in the last 23 games, with Saturday's home defeat to Millwall proving to be the final straw.
