Notorious level crossing that HAS claimed three lives could be closed for good
 

A notorious level crossing where three people have been killed could be closed for good, as new safety measures are announced by Network Rail.
Fisherman’s Path crossing in Formby, which had previously been graded as ‘high risk’, will see a number of new measures put in place to “immediately increase safety levels”.
The crossing, near to Freshfield Station, has claimed the lives of three people since 2014, the most recent in February of this year.
