Norway cuts 2016 asylum arrival forecast by 86 percent

Norway has cut its forecast for asylum seeker arrivals in 2016 to a 19-year low of 3,550 people, down from 25,000 predicted in a fiscal budget document in May, the country's Justice Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
The government plans to inform parliament of the budgetary consequences of the 86-percent reduction in expected asylum applications, the ministry added.
