Northampton primary school headteacher in running for national award



A headteacher of a Northampton primary school has won an award for his “exceptional contribution to the teaching profession.”
Rob Hardcastle, who is in charge of Whitehills Primary School, was nominated for a Gold Plato Award by pupils, parents and colleagues.
Mr Hardcastle was one of 52 Silver award winners announced in June this year, and he will find out whether he has won the gold award at a ceremony at the Guildhall in London on Sunday.
