North Wales eye patients waiting too long for 'life changing' treatment says health boss
 

Eye patients in North Wales are waiting too long for “potentially life changing treatment” according to a community health council (CHC) boss.
The statement from North Wales CHC chair Jackie Allen comes after a survey of patients using ophthalmology services.
Although the majority of those surveyed by the Board of Community Health Councils in Wales gave a positive description of care, a significant number still complained of delays in treatment and cancelled appointments, with one patient saying their “condition deteriorated” after waiting 15 months for a follow-up appointment.
