North Lincolnshire vicar says goodbye after nine years
 

THE Isle of Axholme is soon to say goodbye to one of the leading lights in the Christian church.
Ian Walker is retiring from his post at St Andrew’s Church after nine years at the end of this month.
However, he held his last service on Sunday (July 30).
Mr Walker said that he would always look back fondly on his time in the Isle of Axholme.
“The biggest change has been the reordering and completion of the church restoration project, which lasted 15 years,” he said.
The restoration project project has included work to the tower roof, nave, chancel and south aisle roofs.
