Norman survived cardiac arrest at Redcar pool - his family are now pushing for defibrillators
 

When Norman Watson suffered a cardiac arrest while swimming at the Redcar Leisure and Community Heart, centre staff sprang into action.
The pool was cleared and the air ambulance called as the fight began to save Norman’s life.
Thanks to the staff’s quick-thinking - and the availability of defibrillation equipment - 64-year-old Norman survived and has recovered well.
But now his grateful family wants to give something back. And on Sunday , daughter Emma Watson has arranged a fundraising event, with the proceeds going towards buying defibrillators for public use.
