No inquiry into Hillsborough fan-blaming allegation against David Crompton



A police watchdog will not investigate claims that a chief constable instructed lawyers to "pour blame" on Liverpool fans at the Hillsborough inquests.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission said on Wednesday that while the approach of some of the legal teams "clearly caused distress" to the victims' families, there was no evidence of crime and investigators could not access details of legal discussions.
