Nicola Sturgeon vows to put a brake on hard Brexit to stop Tories' 'ugly vision' blighting Scotland's future
 

NICOLA Sturgeon will today pledge to lead a UK-wide campaign against hard Brexit in a bid to avoid the “ruinous consequences” for Scotland.
Opening the SNP’s party conference in Glasgow, the First Minister will also accuse the Tories of exploiting the shock vote to leave the European Union as a “licence for xenophobia”.
Speeches at the Tory conference last week promised a crackdown on immigration and hinted Britain could leave the European single market if it meant reducing the number of foreign workers.
