Nick Kyrgios fined £13,500 for not trying during his defeat by Mischa Zverev in Shanghai



Nick Kyrgios has been hit with a $16,500 (£13,500) fine for his shocking behaviour during his second-round match at the Shanghai Rolex Masters on Wednesday.
Kyrgios had put in a pitiful effort as he tanked his match against German qualifier Mischa Zverev, losing 6-3, 6-1 in 48 minutes, and also engaged in an argument with a fan who had loudly voiced his criticism.
After a review of the match, the ATP decided on Thursday to take action against the 21-year-old Aussie with a fine for 'breaches of the ATP Code of Conduct'.
