Nic Dakin questions Theresa May over Trident submarines built from French steel



THERESA May squirmed under questioning over the use of French steel to build Trident British Nuclear Submarines at today's Prime Minister's Questions, including a question from Scunthorpe Labour MP Nic Dakin.
The deal to supply steel is worth tens of millions, part of the £41 billion Trident programme.
Had the work been kept in the UK, it could have protected 1,000 jobs and helped re-opened the plate mill in Scunthorpe and provided work for the two other former Tata Steel mills in Scotland.
