NHS 'thank you' letter reveals huge damage caused by cyber attack



An NHS letter thanking the public for their patience after the organisation was hit by a large-scale cyber attack has also revealed the crippling damaged it caused to the service.
Hospitals and GP practices across the country were thrown into chaos on Friday, May 12, when a rasonware attack locked staff out of their computers and forced heath bosses to cancel appointments.
Workers were unable to access patient records, scans, results and blood tests, while various machines at hospitals in Lincolnshire were turned off.
