Newcastle shopkeeper banned from running a business for six years after employing illegal immigrant
 

The managing director of a Walker shop has been disqualified from trading for six years for a string of trading violations.
Najeb Kosar, 40, MD of JA Supermarket Ltd (JA) on Welbeck Road, was disqualified for purchasing goods with unpaid excise duty and failing to carry out adequate checks to verify the duty had been paid.
Kosar also employed an illegal immigrant and as a result was hit with a fine by the Home Office Immigration Enforcement Department.
