Newcastle City Library 'skills hub' has seen dozens move into employment or training
 

A one stop shop for people looking for training, careers and job advice has been launched at Newcastle City Library.
The ‘Skills Hub’, which opened its doors earlier this year, has supported more than 850 customers with specialist careers advice and has helped almost 100 into training or employment.
The hub was set up in January in the wake of a Newcastle City Council report which found that skills, education and training for people aged over 16 in the city was inconsistent with the skills employers need.
