Newcastle Airport insists baggage carrier exit won't cause 'Christmas chaos' for passengers
 

Officials at Newcastle Airport have dismissed a union’s warning of “Christmas travel chaos” as a baggage carrying company withdraws its services.
National union Unite has claimed that festive flyers could be hit by serious disruption, as baggage handling firm Aviator plans to pull out of a number of UK airports, including Newcastle, by the end of November.
The Scandinavian company employs 145 people at Newcastle Airport, and Unite has demanded to know what will happen to these roles after the exit.
