New university building will be a "beacon" over the city



A massive new university building will be a “beacon” visible from Liverpool city centre – and will help kickstart the ambitious plans for the Knowledge Quarter.
Liverpool International College (LIC) has today revealed plans to build a new home on part of the old Archbishop Blanch School site, off Grove Street.
It will include a 12-storey tower with accommodation for 260 students at the college, which every year recruits hundreds of overseas students who have just left school and prepares them to study at the University of Liverpool.
