New 'Silicon Canal' secondary school to open in Eastside
 

A new city secondary school specialising in digital technologies and designed to turn out the skilled workers of tomorrow is set to open in 2018 following Government approval.
The Birmingham Ormiston Academy, known as the city's 'fame school' will be opening its second school at Eastside to cater for 900 children from across the region looking to train in digital and creative technologies including game design, media production and app development.
