New Chinatown developer to withdraw from projects after image 'damaged beyond salvage'



Troubled development firm North Point Global is set to pull out of its Liverpool projects over concerns its reputation is “tainted and damaged beyond salvage”.
In a detailed 1,100 word statement the company behind the stalled £200m New Chinatown project blamed the reporting of the ECHO and “vitriolic” actions of Liverpool Council for leaving its position unsustainable.
The announcement is the latest development in a saga that has seen the company fail to deliver a network of ambitious schemes and become the subject of a council call for a National Crime Agency investigation.
