New Balance trainers stolen from Cumbria factory put up for sale on eBay



TWO men have been sentenced by a judge after stolen New Balance trainers were put up for sale on eBay.
Carlisle Crown Court heard how the shoes were listed on the website before they had even been released onto the open market.
An investigation revealed numerous pairs had been stolen from New Balance's UK headquarters at Flimby, west Cumbria, by 37-year-old Stuart Black - then a company employee.
Accomplice Ian Degraff, 44, was found to have access to an eBay account on which one pair of the M1500 trainers was advertised for sale. Seven boxed pairs were later seized from his home.
