New apprentices will enhance unique South Lakes landscape



The Rusland Valley and Fells Landscape Partnership has launched a new three-year apprenticeship scheme.
Six new apprentices have started an 18-month journey on the Rusland Horizons Scheme.
They will be working throughout the scheme area, assisting with woodland restoration, wildlife conservation and heritage projects.
Rusland Horizons is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and with the additional support and involvement of Makita, Electricity North West and Thomas Graham, a Cumbrian family business. The scheme supports local young people to develop vital practical skills and knowledge... read more
