More than 500,000 people a year visit the Buchenwald site which has been preserved as a museum and place of remembrance for Nazi victims.
There were dozens in the car park of the complex yesterday when the 55-year-old fanatic from Brunsbüttel in the state of Schleswig Holstein in northern Germany pitched up to play his offensive Hitler rant.
Police were called immediately and the man was seized and taken into custody.
