Neighbours tell of horror after man stabbed in leafy south Liverpool street

A 20-year-old man remains in hospital after being stabbed in a leafy suburb of south Liverpool.
Officers were called to Beech Lane in Mossley Hill at 1.45am today, where they found a man with stab wounds to his body lying in the road.
This morning the road, and adjoining Harthill Road, was cordoned off as forensics examined the scene for clues. Blood could be seen in the road and on the side of luxury cars parked in a driveway.
One line of inquiry is that the man was the victim of a robbery.
