Natural Resources Wales investigate 'pollution incident' on River Dee



Water bosses have apologised for a “pollution incident” at one of their water treatment works yesterday.
The spillage came from Dwr Cymru/Welsh Water’s Chester water treatment works where it is believed contractors had been working prior to the incident.
Up to 1,000 tonnes could have spilled out into the River Dee and both Natural Resources Wales and the English Environment Agency were informed of the accident.
Dwr Cymru/Welsh Water said “no services to customers” were affected by the spillage.
