Napoli chairman confirms Arsenal bid for Gonzalo Higuain: This is why striker deal failed
 

Higuain was one of Europe's most in-demand strikers in the summer having scored 38 goals in 42 appearances for Napoli in all competitions last term.
The Gunners were linked with the Argentina international but he ended up signing for Juventus instead after the Serie A champions met his £80million buy-out clause.
And Napoli chief De Laurentiis has confirmed the Gunners were interested, along with Atletico Madrid, but neither club made a realistic offer.
