Mystery over ownership of fly-tipping hotspot



MYSTERY surrounds the ownership of the former Oakwell Brewery site which is blighted with fly-tipping and a hot spot for firebugs.
Barnsley Council is trying to identify the owners of the 54-acre site on Pontefract Road which was cleared in November 2013 after time was called on the brewery due to dwindling sales.
There has been a number of fires on the site and recently nine horses were dumped there. Extra security fencing has since been put up to prevent access.
