Music review: RSNO & Nicola Benedetti



All-Russian orchestral programmes tend to draw large crowds, especially when the cocktail ingredients, as in Saturday’s RSNO season opener, include Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov. Add the star appeal of violinist Nicola Benedetti, and hey presto, there won’t be a single seat left in the house.
She was, without doubt, the hot attraction, especially when she is, as now, so much on top of her game.
