Mums – let’s stop talking about our bodies and weight in front of our kids
 

Picture this: you’re in the school playground with your young daughter. Another mum comes up to you and immediately starts talking about the diet she’s on and how fat she feels since having children.
Don’t get me wrong – I’ve tried dieting and I’m not keen on my post-baby belly.
But I try my best not to talk about these things in front of my kids.
I show them how I’m trying to do more exercise. But I talk about it in the context of getting fitter and healthier even if I have a secret aim to fit into all those too-tight clothes in my wardrobe again.
