Mum saves her baby's life after septic shock left him blue and not breathing



When new mum Rachael Taylor took first aid classes shortly after the birth of her son, she never imagined she would be using the skills to save his life.
Finnley, who is 10 months old, went into septic shock and stopped breathing after initially being diagnosed with a virus.
As he turned blue and stopped breathing, quick-thinking Rachael performed CPR until a first responder arrived.
Her swift action saved Finnley’s life and, after a traumatic week in hospital, the youngster has made a full recovery and is back to his “cheeky, energetic” self.
