Mum's despair after her autistic son's dog is killed in hit-and-run
 

A mum says her autistic son has been left devastated after his beloved dog was killed by a hit-and-run driver.
Susan Bell is appealing for help to catch the motorist who knocked down beloved family pet Fluffy on Armstrong Road, Benwell, late last month.
The four-year-old chorkie was hit by a vehicle, which witnesses said was a taxi, after escaping from the house on September 21.
The driver fled but then got stopped further up the road to get out and check his car, Susan claims.
The 50-year-old bought Fluffy four years ago for her son Bradley, now 17, who has autism.
