Mum avoids a stint behind bars after smuggling drugs into prison in her underwear
 

A mum has narrowly avoided her own stint behind bars after trying to smuggle drugs into a prison for her son.
Anita McGlen was caught trying to pass narcotics to inmate son, Ryan McGlen, at HMP Northumberland, after hiding them in her underwear, a court heard.
But, the 53-year-old cleaner was spotted on CCTV handing two wraps of tablets over to her son as they chatted during visiting time on April 17 this year.
