MPs slam £1million pay-off for former England manager Sam Allardyce as 'sickening for grass-roots football'



MPS on Monday branded Sam Allardyce's £1million pay-out as 'sickening for grass-roots football'.
And they accused the FA of an 'institutional failure' over claims that the 61-year-old's chequered career in football was not fully examined before his appointment.
Allardyce received a pay-off — as revealed by Sportsmail — despite what the FA called 'gross misconduct' after he was caught advising undercover reporters how to breach FA rules on third-party ownership.
