MP Liam Byrne was 'ready to throw himself off a cliff' over note saying there is no money
 

Birmingham MP Liam Byrne has spoken of his "anguish" after it was revealed that he left a note warning "there is no money".
And describing the misery he felt, he said he was "kind of ready" to throw himself off a cliff, although he did not seriously consider suicide.
Mr Byrne, the MP for Birmingham Hodge Hill, was a senior Treasury Minister when Labour lost the 2010 general election following the banking crisis.
He left a note for his successor saying: "I'm afraid there is no money. Kind regards - and good luck! Liam."
