Motorist on trial after dad-of-four Nathan Smallwood's death on A500



MOTORIST Nathan Confrey killed a father-of-four by driving dangerously on the A500, a jury heard.
The 33-year-old was driving a Renault Megane on the D-road at Etruria when it mounted the central reservation and became airborne. It landed on the opposite carriageway, where the car struck a Volkswagen Touran driven by Nathan Smallwood.
Mr Smallwood died from his injuries. His wife, Deborah, was seriously injured and woke up a few weeks later in hospital.
