Motorist lost control 'driving like an idiot' - inquest told



A young driver lost control of his car while driving at up to 100mph causing a crash which killed himself and a motorist in an oncoming vehicle.
Jak Cooney's Mondeo crossed lanes into the path of a Jaguar being driven by Andrew Taylor.
The crash happened on the A606 Melton to Oakham Road, near the Pickwell Road crossroads, just before 11pm on April 8.
Four passengers, three women and a man, were also badly injured.
An inquest in Loughborough heard Mr Cooney, 22, had been "driving like an idiot" at speeds of 90 to 100mph immediately before the collision.
