Mosul residents tell of horror of being caught in the middle of firefight as Iraqi forces prepare to retake city from ISIS
 

RESIDENTS of war-torn Mosul have told of the horror of being caught in the crossfire as the net closes on Isis terrorists.
Locals described the harsh reality of living under a brutal regime which involves daily executions, the constant fear of being bombed and a daily hunt for food and water.
Others spoke of stockpiling weapons and ammunition ready to help Iraqi security forces retake
the country’s second largest city.
All fear hand-to-hand fighting on the streets and in their houses against Isis, known locally as Daesh.
