Monarch boss set up new firm on same day doomed airline plunged into administration
 

The boss of Monarch set up his own firm on the same day the doomed airline was plunged into administration, it has emerged.
Andrew Swaffield claimed he was “heart broken” by the firm’s collapse, which led to the loss of more than 1,800 jobs.
But as Monarch was going to the wall, Swaffield still found time to get his new firm off the ground.
Records show electronic paperwork to establish Alcedo Consulting Services was received by Companies House last Friday.
The two directors are Mr Swaffield and his partner William Low, 51.
