'Mindless' vandals blamed for deliberately torching trees in Woolton park
 

Mindless vandals have been setting fire to trees in Woolton leaving the community “incredibly upset”.
Fire crews were called to Reynolds Park, in Church Road, three times in two days to put out burning trees and shrubs.
Rena Pearl, 67, who lives locally, said she had seen groups of youths sitting in the park but had not actually witnessed anyone torching the trees
She said: “About a month ago some shrubbery was set alight. But this is the first time we’ve seen big trees.
“You could break off the branches and use it as charcoal. This has been purposely set alight in a number of places.... read more
