Milos Raonic has pulled out of the US Open, providing a major boost for the leading contenders remaining in the tournament.
The Canadian has been struggling with a persistent wrist injury and has been forced to withdraw.
‘I have too much respect for the US Open and my fellow competitors to take a spot in the draw when I know I cannot give full effort due to this injury,’ he said.
