Mike Towell fundraisers smash their £20,000 target
 

In just 24 hours, fundraisers smashed their £20,000 target to set up a fund for the family of Mike Towell, the boxer who died after he was injured in the ring.
The Scottish boxer, aged 25, suffered severe bleeding to the brain after his fight with Dale Evans on Thursday night and died in hospital.
Former world champion Ricky Hatton set up the campaign, saying: ‘A young boy and partner are left behind – let’s make sure they are looked after.
‘Give what you can. Let’s see if we can smash the £20,000’.
